Layers

Here's the Layers lecture.

Choose 1 of the assignments below based on your skill level and interests. Please come to me first if you don't know how to do something and remember, Google is your friend. Google knows everything about Photoshop. But still come to me first.

1. Beginner Photoshoppers - Find photos online to make a sandwich. Cut out lettuce, cheese, bread, meat, tomato, etc so that it has no background. Stack the pieces together to make a “sandwich”.

2. Web designers - Design a simple website (or redesign one at least 3 pages) with 3 specific layer groups titled “Header, Body, & Footer” containing all organized layers from the document.

3. Photo-editors - Cut out the background in a group photo, (with more than 3 people) and cut out multiple people in photos by themselves. Put the single people behind or in front of the group so that it looks like they were part of the group photo. Think about shadows and the right balance of the people, and try your best to make it look like they belong in the photo. Add a pet in front of the group for extra credit.

DUE THURSDAY 11/12/09. Work in one of the labs on campus to complete this assignment if you can't finish it in class.
